Important college app info🚨🚨
Make sure you know the difference between Early Decision and Restrictive Early Action!
As early college deadlines are approaching, you need to know what submitting your application early entails…😊
Defining Early Decision and Restrictive Early Action:
ED (Early Decision): Where you apply early to a university, and if accepted, you must attend. You can still apply to other universities at the same time under their EA plans.
REA (Restrictive Early Action): Similar to Early Action with deadlines typically in November. However, since it is “restricted,” you cannot apply to another university’s early application program.

FAQs
Can I apply EA to other schools if I ED?
Yes. Early Action is not a binding offer while Early Decision is. This just means that if you are accepted through Early Decision, you would have to accept the offer even if you receive other acceptances.
Can I apply ED to other schools if I REA?
No. REA applicants can’t apply ED to other schools but they can usually apply to non-restrictive EA for other public schools
Do I need to withdraw from other applications if I get in REA?
No. You don't have to withdraw applications for other schools because REA is non-binding.
